DTKJ Ensures Senen Station is Ready for Homecoming

The Jakarta City Transportation Council (DTKJ) ensures facilities and infrastructure at Pasar Senen Station, Central Jakarta are in prime condition thus Eid al-Fitr homecoming (mudik) can run well.

"Senen Station has prepared facilities, infrastructure, and personnel to serve the community during the Eid homecoming period," said DTKJ Chairperson Haris Muhammadun, Monday (4/25).

He expected people who chose to travel by train from Senen Station could be served well. Previously, DTKJ had made other visits to support the preparation and implementation of this year's Eid homecoming flow and return flow.

"Before, we also reviewed the existing facilities and infrastructure at Pulogebang Bus Terminal for prospective travelers who took the bus for homecoming," he mentioned.

For this Eid, he hoped that all facilities and infrastructure, as well as homecoming services, could meet the standards thus people who had not been able to go to their hometown for two years due to COVID-19 could get a safe and comfortable trip.

He assessed that this year's Eid homecoming would be a very festive moment. Because this year, the government allowed its residents to take a trip for mudik after 2 years of being banned.

In general, Pasar Senen Station is ready to serve travelers. PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta informed that thousands of passengers had packed Pasar Senen Station since April 24, 2022, and around 12,600 prospective travelers would travel by train from Pasar Senen Station.
